Challah is a traditional Jewish celebration bread, braided and is similar to brioche in texture and taste

There are lots of things that are the ‘best thing since sliced bread.’ But what was the best thing… Before Sliced Bread? Let us show you. Our bread is made the good old-fashioned way, before chemicals and mass-production changed bread into the barely recognisable loaves we see on supermarket shelves today.

Focaccia is a well-known flat bread, similar to pizza base in texture and taste.

BAKED THE TRADITIONAL WAY

We use proper sourdough starter, too, with no commercial yeast. And the best part? Our bread is baked in one of the country’s only commercial woodfire bread ovens, so the flavour is fantastic.

How and when can I order?

- Current bake days are every Tuesday and Friday. 

- Orders for Friday delivery open weekly at 3pm on the Wednesday prior.

- Orders for Tuesday delivery open weekly at 3pm on the Sunday prior.

What about deliveries?

- We deliver to homes and workplaces within a 10km radius from central Ballarat twice per week, in our electric van.

What's baking?

- Our bread varieties change season-to-season.

- There will be some variability because we use natural ingredients and bake in a woodfire oven.
